Join Hummingbird Healing Yoga and Massage on Sunday, June 21, for a combination Summer Solstice and Father’s Day event…at Normandy Park! From 9:30-11:30am, we will be offering all of the following:
Warm Yin Yoga Class with Linda
Ramp up your day with warming Sun Salutations followed by a cooling yin yoga practice, all led by Hummingbird’s owner, Linda Geraghty.
For those who aren’t familiar with yin, you’re in for a treat! The goal of a yin practice is to deeply stretch the connective tissues of the body. To that end, the practice takes place entirely seated or laying down. We make our way into a pose and stay there for several minutes, carving out the time and space for a deep release. The slow pace and the long holds of yin are the perfect way to celebrate the slow pace of summer and the longest day of the year.
Art Projects with Lija and Lynne
Jumpstart your day with a jolt of creativity! Join artists Lija and Lynne for fun and unique art projects inspired by the sun, the solstice, and, of course, fathers. Ages 4 to 400 are welcome! All you need is your imagination.
10-Minute Chair Massages with Lynn
Ease into your day with a relaxing chair massage performed by licensed massage therapist, Lynn Owens. Sore hands? Aching back? Tension in your neck and shoulders? Let Lynn work her magic with her healing hands amidst the cool trees of Normandy Park.
No need to register for any of the above – just come on down! $10 suggested donation per activity. 50% of proceeds benefit South Ardmore Betterment Alliance (SABA).
