Build your own scarecrow with materials lying around the house: an old button-down shirt, pants, gloves, plastic milk container, stockings, plastic bag. Old newspaper or leaves make ideal stuffing. Old broomsticks work well as a scarecrow frame, or sit your scarecrow down on an old chair or bike. Be creative! Your scarecrow can be scary, classic, or have its own theme.
