Movie in Normandy Park - Saturday, July 28

Join us for a free showing of The Incredibles (2004) under the stars in Normandy Park.  This movie is clever and fun, with a star-studded cast.  It's great for all ages.
Light refreshments will be sold, but feel free to pack your own picnic. 

Don't forget to bring a blanket, lawn chair and bug spray, but NO CAPES! ;)

Celebrate the 4th of July with SABA!

Come on out on the 4th!  Our bike parade will leave from Chestnutwold Elementary at 10:00am and end up at Elwell Field, where the festivities will begin with a "best-decorated" bike/stroller/wagon contest.  Then, if you’re hot, get under the Big Splash!  If you’re hungry, hot dogs, pretzels, water ice, baked goods, and cold drinks will be available for purchase.  Kids and adults can participate in the 40-yard dash, 3-legged race, sack race, and water balloon toss.

There is no rain date for this event.  If the weather is questionable, please check back here to verify the event’s status. 


We need volunteers on the day of the event! 
​If you plan to attend, please consider helping out in any way you can: set up, lend a pop-up tent, donate some cupcakes, work the food table or sell tickets for a half hour.

Run in the SABA 5K! (4/21)

The SABA 5K is a great way to get active, meet new neighbors and enjoy some lighthearted competition.  Proceeds help cover the cost of the race and help SABA with future events and neighborhood projects.  Runners, joggers and walkers are welcome.  Kids can do a 1 mile fun run or the full race. 

Location: Normandy Park (Ardmore)

The course starts at Normandy Park Driveway ---> Oakford ---> Georges ---> Morris---> Woodcrest ---> Belmont Malvern ---> Rising Sun ---> Hazelwood ---> Cricket ---> Normandy ---> Finish Line!

Before Race Day:

Awards will be presented to the overall top male and female finisher and to winners in age groups determined by the registration demographics.

Camp Out at Normandy Park - Oct 14

Join SABA for our Normandy Camp Out on Saturday, Oct 14!

We'll be pitching tents, hiking, playing games and eating S'mores!

This event is oriented towards children (recommended ages 6-11) and an accompanying parent or guardian. Unaccompanied children, and adults without children, won't be able to register.

ITINERARY:
5 PM: Optionally have picnic dinner in the park (bring your own food)
6:00: Pitch Your Tent + Activities
7:00: Night Hike to the Duck Pond
8:00: Fire pit, S'mores + Stories
9:00: Get ready for bed (we'll have access to the Normandy House bathrooms)
9:15 PM: Lights Out!
9:30: Adult time around the fire
11:00: Put fire out.
Morning: wake up, pack up, play and relax. No activities planned.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • All camp sites require (1) adult.
  • The Park MUST be quiet by 9:30. If we are not respectful of the neighbors we'll lose the privilege of having night events in the Park.
  • Reservations required by Saturday, Oct 7.

CAMPING PACK LIST:
  • Grub (if you opt for the picnic)

  • Sleeping Pads, Bags and Pillows. Be prepared for the weather
  • Flashlight
  • Toothbrush

Grab your Easter Basket and put on your bonnet!  This year's South Ardmore Easter Egg Hunt will be held in Normandy Park on April 1.  The Easter Bunny is expected to arrive promptly at 11:00 to lead us in a parade around the park before the hunting begins.  

We'll have three age groups: 
0-3
4-6
7-9
