Over 30 years have passed since the Rotary Club of Ardmore and the Men’s Garden Club of Delaware Valley, with the cooperation of Lower Merion Township, presented the community with a unique garden in Wynnewood Valley Park named “A Garden for the Blind and Children.” Today, the Rotary Club of Ardmore is committed to providing funds and labor to restore the Penn Wynne garden and make it handicapped accessible in partnership with Lower Merion Township and many community groups and foundations. The planting of 12 cherry trees on October 17th, 2008 as a gift from the Japanese, through the Rotary Club of Tokyo, marked the first step toward the restoration and upgrading of the park. |
