Adding a Photo Gallery

I believe a Photo Gallery would be an excellent feature to add to the website. Initially rather than post photo's from each year of the 4th of July Celebration we could select a number of photos from several years to give the viewer an appreciation visually for the type of events SABA sponsors.. Another gallery for Planting Events Held in the Park... Another for Music in the Park events... and Maybe one for Miscellaneous events. I would be happy to work on this if this feature is added to the Website. In the future we could add a Gallery for each new event, and after a year say move the best ones to one of the above galleries. Especially if people rate the photos like is proposed in some of the other features of this new website. I believe it would then be possible to add a Hyper-link within the News Article so visitors could jump to the related photo gallery. Bookmark/Search this post with: |

Hmm, I'll play with the Drupal Flickr integration module later this week and see how it works out.
Such a module would give us the best of both worlds--our membership could use Flickr, a proven service for storing and sharing photos to upload and host the actual photos, and we could inline some of those galleries on this website. Everyone wins.

Thanks.... I did use webshots sometimes on the old site. It was not integrated in any sense of the word. People were somewhat reluctant to click over to webshots. I will take a look at Drupal Flicker.
