April Monthly Meeting

The next monthly meeting for SABA will be held this Thursday 4/14 from 7:30 to 9:00 pm at the house at Normandy Park. We have a number of very important issues on the agenda, including a special presentation by the Director of the Haverford Township Free Library.

The agenda for this week's meeting is:

1. Final discussions about the Spring Planting ad Egg Hunt event planned for this upcoming Saturday, 4/16.

2. Plans for the annual yard sale to be held on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. This will be in conjunction with the well-established yard sale of the Beechwood Civic Assoc.

3. A presentation by the Haverford Township Free Library Director, Christine Faris, who wrote "I will bring information to share with you and your attendees, material about our programs, resources and other handouts I think are pertinent to our providing service to the community. I also plan to discuss our library services, financial concerns over the last 2 years and into next year, new items in circulation, but I will also share what has been happening at the library’s present location, and will also address potential plans for a new library".
This will be a great opportunity to get information and an update about the resources, status, and plans of our township library.

4. Elwell Field playground equipment - update on the status of replacing the old play structure and beginning to plan for fund raising for the cost of replacement and installation.

5. SABA Officers - We have several open offices and opportunities to volunteer, in addition to the requirement of our bylaws to hold elections every year for officers.
Please consider getting involved in SABA. It's a great group of neighbors working together for the community. The combined effort means you will be supported in getting to know the organization and you won't be burdened with too much of the responsibility.
