Once again, SABA will be coordinating a neighborhood-wide yard sale. This year, we will have the yard sale on Saturday, May 29. This is the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. The rain date will be Sunday, May 30. The Beechwood Civic Association has held their yard sale on this day for many years and it attracts MANY customers. In fact, it has become such a tradition in their neighborhood they don't even have to advertise the event and people know to show up. We hope to piggyback on the excitement and enthusiasm of their event to make our yard sale particularly successful. As in the past, you have two choices for participating. You can sell from your home or at Normandy Park. We usually make maps of the participating homes and have the maps available to customers to pick up at Normandy Park, which is identified in the newspaper ad as a starting point for shoppers. Depending on how many people want to sell from Normandy Park versus from their homes, we might adjust our approach. Either way, we will advertise this event in the newspaper, online and with signs. If you are interested in participating, please let me know and tell me where you plan on selling from - your house (please provide your address) or Normandy Park. |
