Yet another Alledged Drunken Driver incident on Cricket Ave. At 4:00 in the afternoon a small SUV side swiped my niece's car parked in front of our home. Fortunately my alert neighbor experienced in the sound of park cars be smashed ran outside, and saw the woman attempting to drive away, and flagged her down. The driver ackwardly walked up to our front door. She nearly fell into my wife, and explained that her speech was slurred because of a problem with her dentures, and her walking was a problem with her back. She presented her information an expired insurance card, and what we later learned was an incorrect name. She was about to leave and my daughter said she should wait, because the police had been contacted. I have not seen a copy of the police report to date so remember this is alledged.

It was also relayed to me that she was not taken by the police car, and ten minutes after the police left the scene she simply drove away. A further annoyance is my nieces' insurance company stated that vehicle owner claims she was not involved in an accident. We will be watching the police reports to see if this incident makes the list.

This incident did not make

This incident did not make the Police Blotter either. The Police report noted that the person was driving with a suspended license. The report I believe stated suspected D.U.I., but she was charged with wreckless driving.

The person has contacted my house for some unknown reason to convince my wife that now yes she does recalls the accident, but surprise she was not driving it was her landscaper. The landscaper was late for an appointment, and left right after the accident. He must have been thrown from the car upon impact. No other witness saw this mystery person, but then again I never had an imaginary friend as a child. She did not tell the Police about this other person, because she was intimidated by the Officer yelling at her. Alcoholism is just not a disease it's a adventure.
