This Saturday we will be having our annual 4th of July Celebration at Elwell Field. This is our neighborhood's longest running tradition and the biggest event of the year. As always\, the event will kick off with a parade of the neighborhood children who have decorated their bikes\, scooters\, themselves\, etc. The parade leaves from Chestnutwold Elementary at 10\:00 and works its way up Morris Road to Elwell Field. All children are welcome to participate and everyone is encouraged to line the street to cheer them on.
Once at the park\, we will have the decoration contest. Winners get a new bike helmet or tickets for the event activities. Then it is on to the field events (3-legged race\, sack race\, 50-yard dash\, etc.) There will be events for all age groups so start stretching and get your running shoes ready.
Throughout the day\, there will be food\, the dunk tank (a perennial favorite)\, music and more so come out to have a fun time.
